The Art of Seeing

PrazART Photography is the creative vision of Prasad Padmasanka, a Sri Lankan born photographer who has been living in Australia since 1995 with a lifelong passion for capturing the extraordinary within the world around us.

My journey began in 2000 with a Minolta Pentax film camera.  eventhough i was using borrowed fim cameras to capture beautiful landscape photos as well as people back in school days.. In those early days, photography demanded patience. Every frame mattered. Every image had to be considered before the shutter was released.

That discipline stayed with me.

What began as a fascination gradually became a way of seeing the world — and in 2011, photography became a professional pursuit. Since then, I have continued to explore, observe and photograph the landscapes, people and fleeting moments that make Australia so remarkable.

A Life of Travel. A Collection of Moments.

For more than 22 years, my work through Quick N Ezy Showerscreens has taken me across Melbourne and all over victoria. And travelling throughout Australia from the rugged coastlines of Tasmania to the vast landscapes of South Australia, the beaches of Queensland, the cities of New South Wales, Tasmania and the diverse beauty of Victoria, I have travelled with one constant companion: my camera.

I look for moments that cannot simply be recreated.

The first light touching a mountain.
The silence beneath a waterfall.
A coastline transformed by the golden light created by the sun.
The fleeting atmosphere before a storm.
A city changing character as daylight disappears.

These are the moments I seek to preserve.

Photography with Purpose

I believe exceptional photography is not created by the camera alone.

It is created through patience, timing, observation and an understanding of light.

I can wait for hours for the right conditions because the perfect photograph often exists for only a few seconds. The challenge — and the reward — is being there when that moment arrives.

I approach every image with the same philosophy I have developed through more than two decades of working with glass: precision matters, craftsmanship matters, and quality matters.

From capturing an image in the field to preparing the final artwork for print, I personally oversee the process. My intention is not simply to produce a photograph, but to create a piece of art that can remain meaningful for years to come.

From Lens to Living Space

Photography and glass have naturally become part of the same creative journey.

Over the years, I have transformed my own photographs into glass splashbacks, shower features, glass walls and interior artworks, bringing Australian landscapes and original imagery into people's homes.

There is something deeply rewarding about seeing an image that began in a remote landscape become part of someone's everyday environment.

A photograph can live on a screen.

But art belongs in a space.

It should interact with light, architecture and the people who experience it.

The PRAZART Vision

PRAZART Photography is built around a simple idea:

Beauty deserves to be preserved.

My work is inspired by the landscapes, light, atmosphere and moments that surround us every day — moments that are often overlooked because they last only briefly.

Through my photography, I aim to slow that moment down.

To create a sense of stillness.

To bring the viewer back to a place, a feeling or a memory.

Whether it is a vast Australian landscape, an intimate coastal scene, an abstract composition or an aerial perspective, every photograph is created with the intention of becoming something more than an image.

It is a moment captured in time.

Timeless Australian Art

PRAZART Photography is my ongoing exploration of Australia through light, landscape and perspective.

Each photograph represents a moment I was fortunate enough to witness — and now, through fine-art printing, an opportunity to share that moment with others.

My goal is simple:

To create photographs that do not merely decorate a space, but become part of it.
